In rural Cambodia, 70% of the population lacks access to safe drinking water. This leads to high infant mortality rates and widespread waterborne diseases that affect entire communities. Without clean water, nothing else works — not school attendance, not economic participation, not basic dignity.

Become More partners with villages to install clean water systems, handwashing stations, and proper sanitation facilities in schools and homes. These are not temporary fixes. They are infrastructure built to serve communities for decades.

DENTAL AND VISION

FEWER THAN 400 LICENSED DENTISTS SERVE ALL OF RURAL CAMBODIA

With over 75% of Cambodia's population living in rural areas, dental care is almost entirely out of reach. Poor oral hygiene leads to severe infections, chronic pain, and broader health complications that keep children out of school and adults out of work.

Become More brings dental and vision outreach directly into villages, reaching 14 communities with services, supplies, and education. For many of these children it is the first dental care they have ever received.

PRENATAL SUPPORT

HEALTHY MOTHERS BUILD HEALTHY VILLAGES

Expectant mothers in rural Cambodia often lack access to essential nutrients and basic healthcare. High rates of maternal and infant mortality are the direct result of poverty, not inevitability. With the right support, these outcomes change dramatically.

Become More distributes prenatal vitamins and connects expectant mothers to health resources that give both mother and child the strongest possible start. Over 1,037 prenatal recipients have been supported through this program.

FEMININE HYGIENE

A WEEK OF SCHOOL MISSED EVERY SINGLE MONTH

This is a barrier most people in the US have never had to consider. Without access to basic feminine hygiene products, teenage girls in these villages simply do not go to school during their period.

That is one week every month, month after month, until they fall so far behind that school stops feeling possible at all. Become More provides feminine hygiene access as a direct part of the health program. Something as simple as that changes the entire trajectory of a girl's education and the rest of her life.

A sponsored student receives feminine hygiene support as part of their sponsorship. This is one of the quiet but powerful reasons that 95% of sponsored students maintain consistent school attendance.
